For the first time since Sadie has let me take the reigns on her blog I am posting. This will probably be an error on her end, since husbands should never be trusted. Anyway, about a month ago, we began to think that Sadie might also have Celiac disease like her father since it can be genetic. This began in college with a newly developed lactose allergy (rather an allergy to the protein in milk products) which we shrugged off and have been avoiding, however upon research for her dad we discovered a myriad of symptoms that Sade has been experiencing such as dry skin, headaches, lethargy etc. So we have been test running a gluten free diet for the last few weeks. Must to our dismay this has actually cut out A LOT of our fun foods like sushi and top-ramen, but literally overnight all of Sadie's symptoms have vanished!
So gluten-free shall we be! and it has been rather fun and interesting to explore the many options and wonderful recipes on the inter-web. Today we are trying a wonderful polenta with milk and brown sugar found on a very nice lady's blog, her name is Joy.
Further making our morning a success Joy has given me a new motivational speech to recite on mornings when I don't want to get out of bed, she writes "[Brandon] stop being such a crabby pants. Get out of bed, go put on that big robe that feels like a combination of cloud and kitten and make yourself breakfast without setting those robe sleeves on fire." Obviously I can't always do this, but I can say it and trick myself.
Here is a link to her blog for a shout out and a thanks! http://www.joythebaker.com/blog/
I hope you all enjoyed it :-)
